Donkey Cuddles

Meet Carlos, Izzy and Moose — the donkeys who gave Donkey River Farm its name. This is a hands-on donkey experience in Upstate South Carolina, between Greenville and Clemson, and you come inside the pen with them. Small groups, quiet pace, and the animals set the tone.

Donkeys are curious, patient and a little bit stubborn, which is what makes them so good with children. Your farm host stays with you the whole time to show you where they like to be scratched and how to read what they are telling you.

Good to know

• Ages 2 and under are free and do not count toward your guest total
• All guests complete an animal cuddling waiver before entering the pen
• Sessions are by appointment. We are at 1576 Greenville Hwy, Liberty, SC 29657 — a short drive from Clemson and Greenville, and an easy day trip from Asheville, Charlotte, Columbia and Atlanta
