About the Farm
Small farm, big purpose — nourishing our community, naturally.
It Started With a Puddle and Two Kids
Every great farm has an origin story. Ours started with rain, a muddy pasture, and two imaginative kids who named the little stream that formed between the donkeys' hooves after every storm — Donkey River.
The name stuck. And so did the dream.
Meet the Family
Donkey River Farm is nestled in Liberty, South Carolina, owned and operated by Morgan and Kyle — and kept lively every single day by their four kids: Zachary, Josie, Sophia, and Abigail.
Morgan
Morgan grew up on her grandparents' dairy farm, where she discovered her love of animals. She holds a Master's in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's in Animal Science, and built a career spanning collegiate teaching and business development in the biotech industry. She brings that same blend of science, education, and entrepreneurship to Donkey River Farm every single day. As a mother of four, her greatest goal is simple — to build a place where families can reconnect with nature, real food, and each other.
Kyle
Kyle was raised on a farm and developed a lifelong appreciation for hard work, land stewardship, and building things that last. A skilled mason by trade, he brings craftsmanship and dedication to every corner of Donkey River Farm. His hands-on expertise is evident in everything he builds here — and his most anticipated project is just around the corner: a wood-fired brick oven pizza experience that he'll design and build himself. It's going to be something truly special for this community, and we can't wait to share it with you.
Together, Morgan and Kyle are building something they're genuinely proud of — a farm rooted in hard work, good food, and a deep love for this land and the community around it.
